Are you ready to clean and organize your craft room? We are spilling a few of our favorite ways to have a craft room organization. It is so much easier to make crafts when your craft room is organized. When your space is disorganized you can’t find what you need, you waste time and it can be so frustrating! Home organization is key to making things easier.
Believe it or not, I don’t have a craft room that is fully dedicated to making arts and crafts or sewing. With that said I do have craft room storage ideas and solutions to keep your craft supplies organized. Who doesn’t love organized, easy to find arts and crafts supplies. It just makes creating and making things soooo much easier!
Craft Room Organization
I’d love to convert our guest room into a craft room but, I can’t because I need it for when my family comes to visit. I did put two shelving units in the closet and use that for storing my paints and craft supplies. The truth is not everyone can have the perfect home, with perfect craft areas. You will find me pulling out my crafts and using them on my kitchen workspace. (my converted dresser to kitchen island)
It’s my dream, of course, is to have a small studio away from home. A girl can dream right!? But, until then I am working on easy DIY improvement projects throughout my home and finding storage solutions to keep organized.
Tips for storing craft supplies
- scrapbook papers
- paper, ink, and stamps
Add like-minded items into art bins, storage boxes, scrapbook paper storage cases of varies sizes and label them. Add these organized art supplies onto a shelf or bookcase. If you are a serious scrapbooker, into paper arts having your paper storage cases in a cart can be an excellent solution.
Looking for more storage solutions I’ve been looking at a cart I can move from one room to another when working on projects as I love the sunny kitchen area with warm morning and late afternoon sun, especially in the winter.

What is a good craft room cart?
Craft Carts give storage you can move around!
Here are a few of my favorite storage carts. What is great about these carts is they are all versatile to suit a variety of needs. Whether you paint, craft, knit or sew. I’d love to have two of the carts one for my Cricut Explore and paper-crafting tools. One smaller one for nearby my table where I paint. Then I could keep my table space free when working.

Do you need to take your craft supplies with you? Store them in Pack and Go Storage
Use Art Bins to pack and go with your craft supplies!
I have traveled with my supplies to set up weddings, work on nurseries, and set up for holiday events. Often times when I travel to visit my older kids they have me working on projects.
With these two Art Bins, you can pack your items up and have them ready to go to any room or off to help someone. The two tall art bins are the same as you see one being used for jewelry and the other for sewing. The other art bin is a 15″ with take-out tray, great for versatility too.

Scrapbook Storage ideas
My daughter Krissy and I used to scrapbook all the time. We used to have these weekend turbo sessions creating baby books for pregnant friends or memory books for the girls. Then I started creating digital pages which are fun too. But, sometimes I miss the handwork, mixing and matching papers adding washi tapes or ribbons. I have all my paper in 12 x 12 Scrapbook Storage Cases like the one pictured above. I keep my scissors and other tools in a carrier We Are Memory Keepers Tote Bag. I’d love to grab the bigger bag for traveling, like this one from Memory Keepers; their 360 Memory Bag.
There’s no way around organizing my space. I want it a bit more user-friendly. I’ve worked on several sections but, have a ways to go. It seems like every time I work on a project certain things get misplaced. If I was a queen I’d be saying order in the court and waving a wand to have my court helpers moving things to their appointed spots.
I’ll be sure to share more tips as I’m tackling the craft room. Until then you can check out all my dream rooms and the tips I’ve pinned.
